Welcome to Our School

Ruakaka is a rural school situated on the outskirts of Whangarei and within 3 kilometres of the beautiful Ruakaka surf beach.

Our community is actively supportive of our school, participating in many learning and social activities throughout the year.

We have a tradition of academic success, and encourage participation in all sports and the arts. We are a Health Promoting school and an Enviroschool. We have received many awards and grants to further develop our Environmental Education programmes.

Traditional Show Days with calves and lambs are still held every year.

As part of a well established ICT programme, all classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards which are used throughout the day. We also have 2 trollies fitted out wth 9 laptops each that are able to be wheeled around to different classrooms for use throughout the day.

All classrooms have new furniture and most have been refurbished throughout to offer modern learning environments.
