IMG_3074The basis of managing children’s behaviour in the classroom and at school lies in positive reinforcement of appropriate behaviour.

Staff strongly believe in the need to recognize children’s good behaviour, effort and achievement, using a variety of methods, ranging from a smile or word of encouragement, ticks, stamps, stickers, awarding House points and comments in books, to certificates, ‘Caught Being Good’ vouchers and trophies awarded at the end of the year.

In cases of extremely misappropriate behaviour, we follow the processes as set out in the Ministry guidelines. If your child is involved in this sort of behavior, you will be kept informed as early as possible. It is vital that school and home work together on these sorts of issues to achieve positive outcomes for all concerned.
